earth and sky

'...now you are suspended between earth and sky'

...from my favourite Bruce Dawe poem. An exquisite, tragic poem.

This strange time feels like that to me. Like a suspension between two worlds. An exquisite and tragic suspension.

So much beauty and connection in our new isolation: living, cooking, working, learning, laughing and bickering at home.  Seeing workmates in their bedrooms with their kids on their laps and their dogs on their desks. Work and home and family, integrated, recognized, decompartmentalised. Its human, and lovely. All instigated by tragedy, fear and loss.

Its easy to see the upside when you are safe and well and salaried.

  1. So true. It's so much easier to find the joy when you are safely housed and still have an income. Every now and then the sadness and tragedy of it all is just too overwhelming. Take care x
